CareTrips Ownership Partners dedicated over a decade to working as healthcare professionals in the DFW area, specializing in social work and long-term care. Their experience highlighted significant gaps in Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) and its impact on patient care.

Addressing the Need

Recognizing the lack of NEMT services in DFW and its effects on patient care, the founders resolved to create a solution. Their vision was to provide exceptional transportation services to enhance care for patients and the community.

CareTrips Established

Launched with 3 vehicles, CareTrips began its mission to improve accessibility and transportation in the DFW area.

2014: Fleet Expansion

Growing Fleet

Expanded to 5 vehicles, each painted a different color— a unique touch by Managing Partner Johnny Chacko to make each van distinct and enjoyable for his children. Introduced new dispatch software to streamline operations.

Added 3 new office staff members and established a dedicated Intake and Dispatch Team to enhance operational efficiency.

New Headquarters

Moved to a professional office building, added 2 more staff members (totaling 5), and purchased 5 additional vehicles, growing the fleet to 20.

2022: DFW Ice Storm

Emergency Response

Demonstrated our commitment during the Ice Storm of 2022 by facilitating transportation for healthcare workers to long-term care facilities and hospitals. We provided emergency transport for over 50 patients, relocating them from hazardous conditions. During this period, we expanded our office team by 10 members (totaling 15) and added 10 new vehicles, increasing our fleet to 30.
